About Us
Vernon Sanitation Supply Company grew out of Vernon Industrial Uniform and Linen Supply, which rented uniforms to local companies and the meatpacking industry. In the 1960s, Mike Roberts and his brother Al began to sell sanitation and janitorial supplies off their industrial route trucks.
In 1980, we decided to focus exclusively in the janitorial and maintenance supply business. At that time, his son Paul joined the company and was instrumental in building the organization into the local independent industry leader it is today. As the janitorial supply business grew, manufacturers like Flo-Pac, Drackett and Lehn & Fink asked Vernon Sanitation to act as their wholesaler in Southern California. From there, the focus of the company became the redistribution market and the janitorial supply distributors in Southern California.
In order to increase our buying power and keep our costs low, we joined RDA Advantage, a wholesaler buying group with 17 redistributors and 32 warehouses throughout North America. Their mottos, "There’s No Better Way to Buy" and "Delivering the Independent Difference" exemplify the way that Vernon Sanitation goes to market every day.
